Served chilled over ice and garnished with fresh mint and lemon slices, it offers a smooth, fruity flavor profile with a clean, invigorating finish, ideal for warm weather or any occasion. The preparation involves a simple blending of peaches to achieve a natural sweetness and a beautiful color.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 46 lemons)
  • 34 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. **Prepare Peach Puree:** In a blender, combine the chopped peaches with 1/2 cup of the hot water. Blend until completely smooth. If desired, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve for a smoother lemonade, pressing on the solids to extract all liquid. Discard any pulp.
  2. **Make Simple Syrup:** In a heatproof bowl or jar, combine the granulated sugar with the remaining 1/2 cup of hot water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, creating a simple syrup. Let it cool slightly.
  3. **Combine Ingredients:** In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, and the cooled simple syrup. Stir well to combine.
  4. **Dilute and Chill:** Add 3-4 cups of cold water to the pitcher, or adjust to your preferred strength and sweetness. Stir thoroughly. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed by adding more sugar syrup or lemon juice.
  5. **Serve:** Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the sweet peach lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig and a lemon slice before serving.

Notes

For an extra smooth lemonade, ensure the peach puree is strained well.

Adjust the amount of sugar to your personal preference and the sweetness of your peaches.

This lemonade can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

For a sparkling version, replace some of the cold water with sparkling water or club soda just before serving.
